Quick Links

Redfall is going for the supernatural, and the star of the show is vampires. With such a theme, a number of people will be drawn to the small coastal town, like Devinder. This guy is what you can expect from an enthusiastic paranormal investigator who seems to have technology from the future.

Devinder could be seen as a control character since two of his abilities allow him to hit multiple targets at once. This makes Devinder a good addition to any sized team, but there are ways you can arrange his skills to make him more well-rounded, especially if he's going to be your solo main.

Support Build

Though Devinder's attack abilities may make him seem like an offensive character, they start to get more diverse the more he levels up. With the right tiers, Devinder can be a very strong supporting character that can complement teammate actions while keeping them in good condition.

For this build, aim at getting these skills first:

Skill Name What It Does
Color Commentary Allies in a large area around Devinder deal bonus damage to vampires.
Shakedown Enemies hit by an electrical pulse from the Arc Javelin have a chance to drop useful items.
Reverse Entropy You and any allies who translocate gain a heal-over-time effect for a few seconds and all negative effects stop.
Light Therapy You and your allies in the effect of the Blacklight heal over time.

Gunslinger Build

Redfall Devinder Wielding A Rifle

Like the other heroes in Redfall, Devinder is as skilled a gunslinger as you're able to make him. He's able to wield all the available types of firearms and shares the same possible skills that allow him to hold more ammo. However, he also has personalized skills to make him more effective at a range.

For this build, aim at getting these skills first:

Skill Name What It Does
Particle Adherence You and allies in range of the Blacklight deal bonus firearm and melee damage.
Discordant Junction Translocating causes a shockwave at the old and new positions that stagger enemies and deal minor damage to them.
Energize You and any allies in range of the Arc Javelin deal additional electricity damage on firearm and melee attacks.
Lightning Storm When an enemy is hit by the electrical pulse an additional electrical bolt now chains to other enemies. Electrical pulse range and damage are increased and Arc Javelin's duration is improved.

High Damage Build

Redfall Devinder Weapon Inventory

Devinder went into Redfall expecting to encounter anything, so he's pretty well-prepared to handle vampires and their supporters. Both his Arc Javelin and Blacklight are tailor-made to damage groups of enemies or at the very least make them vulnerable and much easier to take down. With the right leveling, Devinder can become more devastating.

For this build, aim at getting these skills first:

Skill Name What It Does
Go Get 'Em, Dev For a few seconds after an enemy first notices Devinder, he deals additional firearm and melee damage.
Night Hunter Devinder's firearms and melee attacks cause vampires to go into their vulnerable state sooner and stay vulnerable longer.
Just Physics Any enemy hit by the Arc Javelin takes significant damage.
UV Saturation Enemies staggered by the Blacklight take more damage from all sources.

Defense Build

Redfall Devinder Skill Tree

The interesting thing about Redfall is that none of the heroes could be considered a "Tank" and that includes Devinder. Health increases with level-ups, and you'll never be equipping any sort of armor. In terms of Defense, Devinder can use his skills to keep himself and his allies mobile and enemies at bay.

For this build, aim at getting these skills first:

Skill Name What It Does
Photon Sharpening Petrification from the Blacklight lasts longer.
Ion Exchange When you translocate, enemies near the translocate beacon swap places with you.
Quantum Kerfuffle Using Translocate now creates a decoy that enemies will attack. Translocate last longer and Reverse Entropy heals more.
Power Surge Each pulse of electricity deals more damage and pulses happen more frequently.
