Street Fighter 6 is one of many big titles launching throughout this busy summer of games, hitting physical and digital store shelves next month. You might need to take a break from your Tears of the Kingdom playthrough before then though as Capcom has confirmed its upcoming Street Fighter title will be getting one more beta before its full launch.

Capcom revealed the details about Street Fighter 6's next and final beta on Monday night (thanks, IGN), confirming it will include the same content as last year's closed beta. That includes access to eight characters and a number of different stages. If you can't wait for June 2 to try out the next chapter in the Street Fighter series and you'd like to participate in the open beta, you'll need to register a Capcom ID if you don't already have one and link it to your desired platform.

The beta will be available to players on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, and those of you with friends on different platforms will be able to play against each other through cross-play. As for the eight fighters available to you during the beta, they have been revealed to be Ryu, Ken, Guile, Chun-Li, Kimberley, Juri, Luke, and Jamie. There will be six stages, including Metro City and Training Room, and a handful of different modes to try out.

Last but not least, the date. Street Fighter 6's open beta will be available from May 19 until May 21. Anticipation for the next Street Fighter game is already pretty high despite the busy launch schedule it finds itself right in the middle of. Capcom has decided to seriously shake things up when it arguably didn't need to, adding an overworld to the series and some serious customization options. All of the additions appear to be a hit with fans of the series.

The fighting game will also be getting a lot of support post-launch as Capcom has already confirmed additional characters coming to the roster via DLC starting this summer through spring of next year. Rashid will join the roster this summer and A.K.I will too before the end of the year. Ed will kick off the 2024 additions, and then Akuma comes to Street Fighter 6 sometime in spring of 2024. Better than all of that, at least in my opinion, is the reveal that you can beat up a fridge that fights back.
