Offering fruit to any of the eight cherry blossom trees found around various regions will show the location of any cave entrances for a brief time. If you think you've completed an area, the Satori that marks the caves is a helpful way for you to double-check anything you might have missed. If you want to know where to find them, this guide has you covered.

Satori Cherry Blossom Trees Explained

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Link looks at a Satori in Hyrule underneath a cherry blossom tree

As you adventure across Hyrule, you might have noticed there are large, beautiful cherry blossom trees dotted around here and there. There is one in Hyrule Field, to the east of Lookout Landing, that serves as an introduction to the trees.

Each cherry tree has a small shrine at the foot of it, which is the perfect place to leave an offering for the great tree.

Leaving one piece of any fruit you have in the shrine will trigger a short cutscene to play in which a majestic Satori appears before Link under the tree.

We recommend using something like an Apple since they're so common you should have several of these to spare.

The Satori looks to the distance, and beams of light appear at several locations in the surrounding area. These beams of light serve as markers for underground cave openings, revealing their locations in a generously large radius.

This is perfect for helping you find your next objective if you simply must complete everything. The Satori only marks caves within a set area, but if you make your way around to all of them, there's no way you'll miss a cave on the surface with these trees.

The markings that appear will show caves you have already found and explored.

This means it is up to you to cross-reference the information with your map to see if you've already found and explored the one it's pointing at.

Satori Cherry Blossom Tree Locations

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - an in-game map shows the location of all cherry blossom trees

There are eight Cherry Blossom trees to find in Tears of the Kingdom. Don't worry if you forget where the Satori has marked for you since the trees can be activated as many times as you like.

The highlighted cave entrances only last for a few minutes, and you can't have more than one cherry tree active at once, not that you'd ever need to.

There is an in-game map that shows the locations of the cherry trees inside the Outskirts Stable in Hyrule Field.

The first one most of you will come across is the one in Hyrule Field, close to Lookout Landing.

Starting from Hyrule Field in clockwise order, here are all the Satori Cherry Blossom Trees you will find as you explore the land of Hyrule:

While we're on the topic of underground caves in Tears of the Kingdom, you should be aware that the little tick that appears next to them will only do so when you find the Bubbulfrog dwelling within.

Caves are also naturally marked in the overworld with the appearance of Blupees outside of them, tempting you to explore.
