Admittedly, a lot of enemies in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom aren't pretty, much less cute. They border on terrifying at the best of times, so one can assume that you'd have to play fast and loose with the term cute when deciding just what counts among the cutest enemies.

However, you're just going about it wrong. Instead of picking out monsters and enemies on the basis of traditional cuteness, you just need to look at them a little bit different. If you go through Kilton's side quest in Tarrey Town you'll start to see just how cute some of these enemies can be.

7 Bubbulfrogs, Surprisingly Enough

You might disagree, and that's fair, but the Bubbulfrog is also the most harmless of every enemy you'll run into in Hyrule. Sure, it may try to attack you, but that doesn't mean that you're going to get hit. If anything, the Bubbulfrog's attacks are surprisingly easy to avoid and all it takes is one or two arrows before you've sent the Blupee running for the hills.

Blupee's would have been added to this list instead, but they don't really attack you (they just run away, and you miss out on all your gems). They're reminiscent of Koltin's description and idea of what a Satori looks like, but mashed together with a frog. If you like frogs, you'll probably find the Bubbulfrog to be pretty cute, especially with its little webbed feet and vibrant colors.

6 Flutter Your Heart Out, Keese

This might seem like a strange option, considering that Keese are little more than wings and a giant eyeball that enjoy flying at you full speed. However, you'd be going about it all wrong if you wrote off Keese for that alone. These little entities of elemental chaos are the smallest enemies in Hyrule (and the easiest to take out, if needed).

All they do is flutter about and perch on ceilings so that they can jump scare you occasionally. As very small creatures, it's only fair that they'd be a little angry - after all, the smaller you are, the less place the anger has to spread out, kind of like a Chihuahua.

5 Chuchu Jellies Bouncing About

These jiggly little jellies are more adorable than they are threatening, or at least, that's the way it is in the later game. In the early parts of the game the Chuchu Jelly, especially the elemental ones, are incredibly threatening, and you should proceed toward them with caution.

Though, are they intentionally hurting you or are they just giving you a little love tap? (They're probably intentionally attacking you). Like a handful of other enemies in Tears of the Kingdom, Chuchu Jellies will pop out of the ground from seemingly nowhere when they want to attack you, but it's a bit of a pleasant surprise.

After all, it isn't like they're the worst thing you can encounter in Hyrule. Sometimes you can't help but want to pat this sticky little slime as it rolls toward you menacingly. Plus they give you some of the best drops to fuse to arrows.

4 Octoroks Rock

Rock Octoroks

Octoroks can be a bit off-putting at first, and maybe even disturbing as they jump out of the ground to spit projectiles at you. But you shouldn't let that brief moment of fear stop you from wanting to squish their little heads. Imagine the jiggle they would have as you pat them.

Maybe they'd even make a cute little trilling noise, but we will unfortunately never know. Every time you get close to an Octorok it ducks back under the ground, and you're left wondering just how sweet they would be if they weren't trying to murder you.

3 Wolves Are Probably Cheating

Is it cheating to put wolves on the list? Probably, but they will attack you, so they're technically enemies. They're not monstrous, they're just kind of mean dogs who can supply you with some fresh meat if you happen to hit back. To be fair to the others, wolves don't get an automatic first place because they walk a fine balance between enemy and "animal you can hunt."

Nonetheless, it's hard to deny that they're cute and that the desire to pet them and give them treats is strong. Of course, they aren't really the best boys because they do try to attack Link on the regular and, comparatively, the dogs at the stables are much nicer and therefore, the true best boys.

2 Stone Pebblit

I bet you didn't know the name for this enemy, but if you did, good on you! Despite not having a face or any facial features to speak of, it works for these little pebbles. They're just tiny versions of the Stone Talus' that wander around Hyrule, either serving as bastions of war or generally minding their own business while occasionally picking fights.

Unlike their older siblings, these Pebblits are always ready for a fight and disguise themselves as rocks, so they can ambush their enemies at a moment's notice. Honestly the whole thing is very adorable, and they're easily disposed of by just picking them up and tossing them away. Adorable!

Even their name is cute - Pebblit. Little Pebble who just wants to be like their older siblings, but alas, they just aren't big enough yet. Also, they explode after you throw them to the side, so they probably won't be as big as a Stone Talus one day, though it's probably for the best.

1 Basket Bokoblins Are The Best

Bokoblins on their own can be kind of viciously adorable. They've got squished, scrunched up noses and big flappy ears that wiggle as they totter back and forth, holding their little spears and shouting for blood. But they only take a step-up in cuteness once they equip their little baskets, holding onto fruit and other items that they've collected throughout their travels.

Some may use the fruit to fuze it to arrows, so they can murder you with an explosion, but others wander through fields, seemingly gathering things up for their crew. They're just little creatures, packing around their little stick baskets, and filling them with whatever item strikes their fancy.

In a way, these basket-wielding Bokoblins are kind of like bears, in that you want nothing more than to go up and squish their little faces and make their ears flap, but if you tried they would have your head on a stick in about two minutes. Oh well... at least they can be observed from a distance (or with Kilton's display).
