One of the most infamous video game dungeons in history is the Water Temple from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Well, it's back! Not necessarily the exact same dungeon, but The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has its own Water Temple with which to scare you.

RELATED: The Legend Of Zelda: Best Bosses Who Only Appeared Once

As with the other temples in this game, this dungeon has you traveling around to find individual puzzles that test all the skills and knowledge you've been acquiring up to this point. As its name implies, these puzzles deal heavily with water and Sidon, who is along for the ride.

How To Complete The Water Temple

Tears of the Kingdom - Water Temple - Faucets

After arriving at the Water Temple, upon completing Wellspring Island and traveling up the great waterfall at the end, you'll be confronted by a Zonai Pedestal. Interact with this for a cutscene and you'll be told the objective of this dungeon - to find and activate four faucets that will allow you to clear away the sludge monster in the center of the temple.

Once you activate the Zonai Pedestal, you'll be able to fast travel directly to the temple. Use this if you need to stock up on items.

As in Wellspring Island, you will be dealing with a low force of gravity in this dungeon. This means that not only with your regular jumps feel floatier but that your jumps executed while climbing will send you far further than normal, despite costing the same amount of stamina. Keep this in mind as you progress through the dungeon.

The First Faucet

Tears of the Kingdom - Water Temple - Jumping up to the first sky island

To get to the first faucet, first head to the very left of the temple's main area. There will be a series of floating rocks that you can climb up, made easier by the temple's low gravity.

When you reach the top, destroy the Constructs here. Once you've done that, head to the north end of the island and examine the slanted rock with sludge on it. Clean the sludge off to reveal a water orb spawner that you can use to get up to the next level.

Tears of the Kingdom - Water Temple - Using a water orb to transport a ball

Before you use it to get yourself up, use Ultrahand to grab the large ball from the pool on this platform and place it inside a water orb to get it to the next level. Follow it up.

On the next level, first place the ball in the water above the slot, and then go grab one of the Hover Stones at the other end of the platform.

Bring it over to the small wall opposite the waterfall and Attach it to the bronze-looking part on top of it. Use Ultrahand to raise the wall, which is in fact a gate.

Tears of the Kingdom - Water Temple - Using a Hover Stone to keep a gate lifted

The Hover Stone will keep the wall raised for a period of time, letting the water drain and therefore let the ball into the slot.

Tears of the Kingdom - Water Temple - Activating a Water Wheel with Sidon's power

A passage will open inside the pool. Enter it. Inside is the first water wheel you'll need to interact with to activate a faucet. Use Sidon's power and shoot a wave of water at it. First faucet activated!

Glide back down to the central area.

The Second Faucet

Tears of the Kingdom - Water Temple - Using Sidon's power to bypass a flame wall

Head down to the lower level of the temple using the ledge on the west side. Below, you'll find a wall of flames that you can't pass through normally. Use Sidon's power to walk through the fire.

Inside this room, you can perform a jumping attack on the button next to the wall of flames to deactivate them permanently.

In this room, use the Hover Stones to reach the other side, where the ball is. To get the chest down, simply shoot at it to deactivate the Hover Stone it's attached to. It contains a Large Zonaite.

To get the ball back to the other side, Attach it to a Hover Stone and use other Hover Stones as stepping stones.

Get on one stone, use Ultrahand to move another stone over the gap, jump to that stone, and then bring the previous stone forward. As long as you're also bringing the stone with the ball attached to it, you should be able to complete this fairly quickly.

Tears of the Kingdom - Water Temple - Using a Hover Stone to keep a ball in place in a slot

To get the ball to stay in the hole, you'll need to keep it in place with an activated Hover Stone turned on its side. This will open a nearby gate that reveals the second water wheel. Activate this to get the second faucet working. Return to the main platform.

The Third Faucet

Tears of the Kingdom - Water Temple - A jump to the third puzzle

To get to the next island, you'll need to climb up the right side of the massive faucets at the head of the island. Climb up the side, using jumps as much as possible to take advantage of the low gravity, and then glide over to the tallest island on the east side of the temple.

This island's puzzle involves generating electricity with a waterwheel and then connecting the electrical grid to power the gate-opening mechanism.

Head to the waterwheel near the waterfall on this island. In the pool below it, there are two slabs. Place them on the water wheel's spokes so that they form a right angle and then use Ultrahand to start the rotation - the water wheel will gain enough momentum to work on its own once it gets going.

This will power the electricity line that leads to the faucet's water wheel, but there's a break in the connection.

There will be a water orb spawner nearby - use Ultrahand to bring the water orbs that it spits out and use that to connect the two ends of the electrical line.

Quickly go activate the water wheel inside the small building with Sidon's ability before the water orb explodes.

The Fourth Faucet

Tears of the Kingdom - Water Temple - Fighting a Fire Like

From the previous sky island, drop down to the one ahead with the Fire Like on it. Kill it - the chest it drops contains a Zonaite Shield.

Tears of the Kingdom - Water Temple - Using Ascend

Ascend through the floating platform that the Fire Like was attached to. Glide on over to the final sky island.

This island has a tall tower with a very fast-spinning box on top. Inside this box is a switch that you have to somehow hit that will drain the water and allow you access to the final water wheel.

To gain access to the switch, you'll need to climb up high - consider using the structures around the island or the Hover Stones - and then leap off. Aim your bow in midair to slow down time, and use that gap to shoot the switch.

You may need to clean some sludge off it first - use a Chuchu Jelly arrow to do so.

Once you've hit the switch, you can go activate the fourth and final water wheel. After this, head back to the center of the temple and use the Zonai Pedestal once more to face the dungeon's boss, the Mucktorok.

After beating the boss, you'll gain a Heart Container and the ability to keep Sidon by your side throughout the rest of the game as a spirit summon. Remember to manually go get the Heart Container, it won't be added to your inventory automatically.
