By now, you've probably seen tons of elaborate contraptions created by players in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Sure, some of them are entirely useless things like a giant statue with a flamethrowing penis, or an intricate machine to torture Koroks. However, once in a while, you'll see people create something useful like an ATV for the Depths or even a Metal Gear.

While Tears of the Kingdom has many ways of getting around Hyrule, there will be certain times when Link will be forced to cover ground just with his own two legs. And given the Hyrule's topography, there will probably be some climbing involved too. You could Autobuild yourself something, but you probably want to save your Zonite material. Some players have found the perfect solution.

The Air Bike, as some refer to it, is a simple vehicle that will get you around Hyrule in a jiffy. Made out of just two Zonai Fans and one Control Stick, this vehicle is the perfect way to travel over land and sea. You don't even need to climb cliffs anymore. As explained by YouTuber, 2uncle2dane, once you build the Air Bike, you can Autobuild it anywhere for just three Zonite (thanks, Kotaku).

This creation has essentially revolutionised travel in Tears of the Kingdom. Link no longer has to depend on horses, which cannot be summoned from too far away. As long as you have a decent enough battery charge, you can fast travel and the Air Bike your way to the objective.

The YouTuber explains that lining up the Control Stick and Fan in the perfect way is a bit tricky, but you only need to do it once before you can Autobuild it anywhere. Additionally, the bike is also perfectly balanced in a way to carry Koroks, green crystals, or anything else you may need – just attach it on top of the front fan.

The Air Bike is the next evolution of the Goblin Glider, which was also a popular traversal method in Tears of the Kingdom; but this version is better balanced and can help you carry things too. It's also easier to take off and land. One tip though, use a Large Brightbloom Seed instead of a light to save on your battery.

Metal Gear Tears of the Kingdom

At the rate things are going, there will undoubtedly be another evolution of this model soon enough. This is bad news for Hyrule's many stables, as no one's going to use horses after they discover how easy and economic the Air Bike is to use and create. So, next time you spot a Shrine off in the distance, you can just whip up an Air Bike instead of fast-travelling, then gliding, and then walking.
