If you want to make the most aesthetically pleasing and least screwed-up-looking cult, then it's important to curate your follower forms in Cult of the Lamb carefully. Fortunately, changing appearances is a breeze, and your followers won't have any complaints. Some follower forms just look wrong, especially the bird followers.

Logically their mouth should be at their beak, but it's not. Their beak is literally just decoration, and it's disturbing. However, there are follower forms that look fantastic under the Cult of the Lamb's stylistic choices, but some of them are just a bit... boring. The best follower forms are easily spotted in your crowd of devotees, and they might, admittedly, become your favorites because of that.

10 Dog

The dog is one of the default skins that you have unlocked when you start up a new game. It may not look that stunning or spectacular, and you would be right to think so, at least when you first see it. There is something special about the Dog follower form that no other form has: you can pet them.

Whenever one of your devout takes on the form of a dog, you can just waltz right on up to them and pet them whenever you please. Petting your dogs will generate a very small amount of devotion, so make sure you do it! After all, we wouldn't want them to get sad.

9 Rabbit

The rabbit follower form can be found in Darkwood, and it boasts a claim to something that few other forms can: tall ears and fluffiness. Its alternative forms just get fluffier though its ears don't get taller. Regardless, those tall ears mean your rabbit friends can easily be picked out in the crowd.

When you have to hunt them down because of a finished quest or because their devotion has been filled, you'll be able to spot and snag them easily. The only downside is that you can't pinch and smoosh their fluffy little faces.

8 Giraffe

It's unfortunate, but the giraffe follower does not have an exceedingly long neck, so can it really be called a giraffe? Regardless, this form is still unique among others. The bright yellow coloration makes them stand out in the crowd, and the fact doesn't look completely messed up.

Unlike some followers where the mouth is too far away from the bottom of the face or where the mouth should theoretically be in real life, the giraffe's mouth is low enough that it actually looks fine. If you'd like it, you can find the giraffe in Anura.

7 Frog

Cult of the Lamb Frog Follower before indoctrination

The frog is, perhaps, one of the most unique follower forms that one could consider "standard." This follower form is found in Anura. Unlike the others, the eyes don't float in the middle of its face. Instead, they can be found in their proper places, bulging outside the main portion of their head.

Admittedly, that's a horrifying description, but it's an accurate one. The frog has a unique head shape to a lot of other followers, feeling less blocky and rectangular thanks to the eyes sitting on top instead of in the middle. The positioning of its eyes makes the frog's mouth not feel out of place too.

6 Bison

Anura provides a whole slew of unique follower forms for players, but there's something about the bison that is incredibly pleasing to the eye. Perhaps it's the long flowing mane, or maybe it's the unique horns the bison form proudly sports. The second alternative form has the nicest-looking horns, with a semi-realistic grain pattern, but it gets rid of the mane, which is kind of sad.

The mane really does help the bison to look incredibly fluffy and incredibly friendly. Regardless, the Bison looks like they would give out excellent hugs, and isn't that something you'd want in your cult?

5 Unicorn

Cult of the Lamb Unicorn Follower before indoctrination

The one thing you have to give the unicorn is that its horn is pretty cool. No other follower form has a horn like that, even if they do sport antlers or pincers on top of their heads. The only thing you can really knock about the form is that if you stare at them long enough, the mouth starts to look really out of place, especially considering how big their nose is.

Regardless, being able to bring a fantasy creature into a cult that's probably made up of mostly real animals is a very compelling reason to start giving followers this form. Of course, you have to find the Unicorn first, which is a completely random event in any of the biomes. Trying to get this form could take your roguelike from a short playtime to a tediously long one.

4 Stag

The stag can be found in Darkwood, and unlike the deer, this one is sporting antlers. You can make them smaller with the alternate form if you really want, but why would you do that? The stag's antlers are beautiful, and it makes them quick to spot in the crowd.

Plus, the standard color for the stag isn't kind of outputting and gross; instead, it's a lovely shade of brown. You're pretty much guaranteed to find this follower form while you're slashing your way through Darkwood in the early parts of the game, so you can start curating your cult's appearance now.

3 Focalor

Cult of the Lamb Focalor follower form before indoctrination

What kind of list of follower forms wouldn't include the forms for the disciples of the various Old Gods? Focalor is one of the best looking out of all of them, especially out of the Silk Cradle bunch. Instead of looking like a creepy spider, Focalor has a slightly more abstract appearance that is only reminiscent of a spider.

For all of you arachnophobic players, this will be the light of your life when you're gathering followers in the Silk Cradle. Plus, Focalor doesn't just look like a living bush, like the old devotees from Anura and the Darkwood.

2 Wolf

Cult of the Lamb Wolf Follower before indoctrination

The wolf is one of the most rugged-looking forms, unafraid to roll around in the dirt and get their hands a little dirty taking care of business. If you want this form, you can't be afraid of getting your hands dirty either because you will need to complete all of The Creature From The Deep's quests for you.

The base form looks great, and the first alternative form is even better, though the third alternative form is what really keeps the wolf from taking first place. The third alternative form's mouth just looks so out of place and far away from where it realistically be at. Stare at it long enough, and you won't be able to shake the thought that it looks wrong.

1 Fennec Fox

Cult of the Lamb Fennec Fox Follower before indoctrination

Lo and behold, the champion follower form, the Fennec Fox. This is another follower form that is found in Anura, and it is downright perfect. None of the alternative forms have anything that looks blatantly wrong, it looks fluffy in every form, and like the rabbit, it has ears that are sky-high, which makes it easy to pick out of a crowd.

The coloration of the Fennec Fox isn't off-putting, despite leaning to the yellow and brown side of the spectrum, and it's overall just a beautifully done follower form. Plus, you really don't have to go too far out of your way to get your hands on it.
