After a lot of teasing, the next chapter in the Mortal Kombat series was finally revealed last week. Dubbed Mortal Kombat 1, the franchise will be rebooted again as players begin an entirely new MK story in a universe created by the fire god, Liu Kang, and apparently, Megan Fox and Travis Scott will be there too.

That's according to Colin Moriarty who discussed the surprising rumored Mortal Kombat guests on a recent edition of Sacred Symbols. Moriarty claims the same person who accurately leaked to him that Jean-Claude Van Damme will be in the game also mentioned Fox and Scott will be there too. Van Damme was confirmed to be an alternate skin for Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat 1 shortly after the reveal trailer dropped last week.

The unnamed source didn't divulge any details regarding how exactly Fox and Scott will be incorporated into the game, but Van Damme being included as a skin helps the leak make a little more sense. Both the actor and the rapper may well lend their likenesses to the game so they can become iconic MK characters too.

As for which characters they'll be skins for, now is the time to let your imaginations run wild. The most likely candidate for Fox would be Kitana. Fox has been angling to play Kitana in a Mortal Kombat movie since at least 2016, admitting to ComicBook.com she'd love to be cast in the role seven years ago, almost to the day. Kitana is confirmed to be in Mortal Kombat 1 and also the upcoming movie sequel. Perhaps we see Fox cast in the role for both.

The synergy between the new Mortal Kombat game and its next movie would make a lot of sense if NetherRealm can pull that off. Perhaps Scott has also been cast and will play the same character in both projects too. The man is no stranger to having his likeness used in a video game after his in-game concert in Fortnite was watched by more than 12 million people.

Mortal Kombat's guest appearances have been a key part of the series since 2011, with Kratos, Predator, Terminator, and more appearing across the rebooted trilogy. Fictional characters from other series may well be a key part of Mortal Kombat 1 too. It has already been rumored to include Peacemaker and Homelander as playable characters. Peacemaker's inclusion certainly makes sense since NeatherRealm and DC are both owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, while two Supermen has raised eyebrows. But Mortal Kombat is no stranger to making palette swaps feel unique.
